How will you determine what kind of functionality and layout will work for us?

We take the time to get to know you—how you live, what’s important to you, and how you want to use each space. Through in-depth consultations and home assessments, we develop a clear understanding of your family’s needs. This ensures that every element of your home, from the layout to the smallest detail, is designed to enhance your everyday life while providing the luxury you deserve.

How many options will I get?

Our goal is to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. We present a carefully curated selection of options, ensuring each one aligns with your taste and lifestyle. This eliminates overwhelm while still allowing you to have meaningful input on your final design.

How will you figure out our aesthetic?

We invest the time to truly understand your preferences and vision through a design questionnaire, discussions, mood boards, and inspiration images. Whether you have a clear design style in mind or need guidance, we work collaboratively to define your aesthetic, ensuring the result is a reflection of your personal style—elevated, polished, and functional.

The Process

How is your process unique?

Luxe Design offers a fully tailored experience. Our process is a blend of thorough planning and a personal approach, ensuring each step is stress-free for you. From initial concept to final execution, we handle every detail, providing weekly updates and guidance, so you can focus on enjoying the transformation without lifting a finger.

What is your fee structure?

Over the years, we have found that a flat design fee is the best way to avoid sticker shock for our clients. You know upfront what your design will cost and will never be surprised by how long it takes us to create a concept design or pick a material for you. We charge hourly for all purchasing and execution, as these tasks vary widely per project. We have some clients who need us to oversee a contractor for a few hours, and then we have other projects that only need a weekly site visit. This hybrid approach has been the best for our clients.

Will you manage my contractor?

While we excel at creating and implementing your design vision, we typically don’t manage contractors directly. Our primary role is to oversee the project to ensure that the design intent is faithfully executed. We will coordinate with contractors, answer any design-related questions, and make frequent site visits. But the day-to-day management of the contractor’s work and schedule is performed by your contractor’s project manager.

Who handles the scheduling, follow-up, and delivery of furniture?

We manage the entire process from start to finish. That includes scheduling, follow-ups, and coordinating deliveries to ensure everything arrives on time and in perfect condition. We aim to take the stress off your plate so you can continue to focus on making beautiful memories with your family.

How is the timeline determined?

The timeline for your project is established during the initial planning phase, based on the complexity and scope of the design. We take into account lead times for materials and furnishings and ensure all milestones are clearly communicated to keep the process smooth and on track.

Should we do everything all at once? How will we know what to prioritize?

We can approach your project in phases or all at once, depending on your preferences and budget. During our consultation, we’ll help you prioritize which areas of your home to focus on first, ensuring the most impactful transformations happen in the spaces that matter most to you.

How often do you communicate with us throughout the project?

Clear and consistent communication is key to a successful project. Every Friday, you will receive weekly email updates regarding your project. These check-ins will include what was accomplished for your project that week, what’s coming up for the following week, delivery updates, and anything else to keep you in the loop on the progression of your project. And of course, we are always available via email or phone to answer any questions.

Do you have a minimum project size?

Typically we work on large-scale furnishings, renovations, and new builds, as these projects allow us to deliver the full scope of our expertise. However, we’re happy to discuss smaller projects to see how we can help. Don’t hesitate to reach out and see if we can be a good fit for your project!

Who is responsible for damages at the time of delivery?

Our furnishings are inspected at the warehouse before delivery, but unfortunately, things can still get damaged in transit. During installation, our team will inspect all items and resolve any deficiencies. Usually, this is small enough for a repair to be scheduled, but if the piece needs to be replaced, we will work with the vendors to take care of it for you! If an item gets damaged after being received and approved, the client will be responsible for any repairs or replacements.
